இத்தகைய வேளையில் நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு வௌிப்புறமாக எங்கே பார்த்தாலும் இராணுவ புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவினரும், அரச புலனாய்வு பிரிவினரும், டி.ஐ.டி.யினர் என்று சொல்லக் கூடிய தரப்பினரும் நிறைந்திருந்ததாக  தமிழ்

 ​தேசிய மக்கள் முன்னணியின் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் செல்வராசா கஜேந்தின் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் தெரிவித்தார்.

இதுகுறித்து அவர் மேலும் கருத்து ​தெரிவிக்கையில், 

இங்கு வந்த காணாமல் ஆக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் உறவினர்கள் கூட பெருமளவில் திரும்பிச் சென்றுவிட்டார்கள். 

ஏனென்றால், இங்கு நின்றால் ஏதாவது ஆபத்து ஏற்பட்டுவிடுமோ என்ற அச்சம் காரணமாக பெருமளவிலானவர்கள் திரும்பிச் சென்றதை பார்க்கக் கூடியதாக இருந்தது.

மிகவும் பதட்டமான சூழலைக் கடந்து தான் நாங்கள் கூட உள்ளே செல்ல வேண்டியிருந்தது.

வெளியேயும் செல்ல வேண்டியிருந்தது. நீதிமன்றத்தினுடைய வெளி வீதிப்பகுதி முழுமையாக உளவுத்துறையினரால் குவிந்து கிடந்து. 

அவ்வளவுக்கு அச்சுறுத்தல் நிறைந்ததாக இந்த விசாரணைகள் தொடர்பாக எவரும் வாய் திறக்க முடியாத ஒரு நிலைமைய பேண வேண்டும் என்பதில் அரசு குறியாக உள்ளது" என்று அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

Today the Kokkuthoduvai case came up for hearing in the court. In such a situation, wherever we see there are military intelligence and government intelligence divisions and those who could be said as the TID people. Large numbers of them could be seen outside here today.

Most of the relatives of the enforced disappeared persons who came here in large numbers have returned because they were afraid that even standing here could endanger them. Due to this fear, we could see most of them going back.

We could go inside and come out only under a tense situation. The intelligence agencies have fully occupied road outside the court.

The situation is so intimidating. The government is very particular about ensuring that no none opens their mouth regarding these investigations.

அவர்களுக்கு தெரியும் நாங்கள் வழக்குக்குத் தான் வருகிறோம் என்று. இது தொடர்ந்தும் இந்த அச்சுறுத்தல்கள் எங்களுக்கு நடந்து கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறது. 

ஏனென்றால் அவர்கள் நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு உள்ளேயே வந்து நீதிமன்ற வளாகத்திற்கு உள்ளேயும் நிற்கிறார்கள் வெளியேயும் நிற்கிறார்கள். நாங்கள் உண்மையாகவே அந்த பிரச்சினைகளை கதைப்பதற்கு எங்களுக்கு அச்சமாக உள்ளது. 

இங்கேயே எங்களுக்கு ஒரு சரியான பாதுகாப்பு இல்லை. ஆனால் நாங்கள் வெளி​யே தனியாத்தான் போகப் போறம். தனியாக போகின்ற போது எங்களுக்கு என்ன நடக்குமென்பது எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது. 

நாங்கள் சுதந்திரமாக கதைக்கிறதுக்கு எங்களுக்கு உரிமை இல்லை என்றதை தான் நான் இந்த இடத்திலே வந்து புரிந்து ​கொண்டேன். 

நிறைய கதைக்க எங்களுக்கு இருக்கிறது, ஊடகத்திலே அதை நாங்கள் கூறினால் எங்கள் உயிர் இருக்குமா இல்லையா என்பது எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது. 

எங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் கடத்தபப்டுவார்களோ என்ற அச்சுறுத்தல் இருக்கிற படியால், ஊடகத்திலே கூட கதைக்கிறதுக்கு நாங்கள் தணிக்கை செய்யப்படுகிறோம் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

We can only say the intelligence agencies have brought here in large numbers. They are standing in the front and when I come outside they ask me ‘Akka do you have a case hearing today?’

They know we have come for the case hearing. Such intimidation continues to happen towards us.

Because they come inside the court complex and even inside the court they stand outside as well. We are really afraid to speak about those issues.

There is no proper security for us here. We are going outside alone. We don’t know what will happen to us when we are going alone.

We don’t have the freedom to speak. We have a lot to speak here at this place. But we don’t know whether we would be alive if we spoke that to the media.

Since we are afraid our children could be abducted, we are self-censoring speaking to the media.
